Product Description

Vespera - Robert Prizeman
Arranged for small Wind Band

Robert Prizeman was a composer and arranger from South London he was also the founder and musical director of the boys choral group Libera. Vespera appears on their album If released in October 2021, just a month after Prizeman died.

Vespera begins with the plainchant for Te lucis ante terminum, asking for protection during the night and continues with a gentle setting of the English translation, Before the ending of the day. This arrangement for small wind band, attempts to develop the original vocal arrangement using the colours of the wind instruments in sections and in complementary groupings. The textures grow gradually then fade into the sparse sounds of the final section.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
