Here's an instrumental arrangement of an old hymn done in a slow, soulful jazz style for piano, violin, bass and drums (and optional rhythm guitar). Ideal for a prelude, offertory, or whenever something quiet and tasteful is need for special music. It starts out with a piano solo playing through the melody harmonized with rich jazz chords. The band joins for verse two with the violin taking the melody. The piano takes over the melody with an "improvised" third verse. The violin rejoins for the finish.
