Product Description

Letters of War places words and weapons side by side at the most fragile edge of the American Revolution.

Set in the cold nights of the Continental Army, the song follows orders written by candlelight, letters sent home through hunger and snow, and names recorded before the mornings fire. In this world, ink is as consequential as iron commands move men, and letters become the last proof that sacrifice meant something.

Rather than glorifying battle, the piece centers on endurance: frozen boots, dwindling provisions, and the unbearable weight of what must be told to those who wait at home. Victory is uncertain. Loss is constant. What remains is the record.

Letters of War argues that while gunfire fades, responsibility does not and that liberty survives because someone chose to write it down. Featured in Hamilton: Letters from a New Republic which is available on this site.
