Product Description
A Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson.
This arrangement is an expansion of the existing published overture for orchestra which was shortened from the original due to recording time constraints. Expanded from the existing published overture, this transcription contains a second verse of "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing", an added verse for the woodwinds of "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen", a second verse of "Good King Wenceslas" using a three-part woodwind canon, and "The First Noel" featuring a brass quartet. The orchestra and SATB chorus are combined into one score, which also contains the organ part near the end of the overture. The Russell Robinson choral parts have been re-written to employ more vocal harmony and to avoid range challenges for the alto section.
