This is the first movement of the song that has been credited with starting the Prog Rock movement. In the original key (concert pitch key of F), the title is perfect for this song. The majority of the song is in 6/4 time. However, it doesn't always feel like 6/4. Sometimes the feel is like 4/4, even though it's still 6/4. And the time signature and key changes at times through the song. This includes the notation of how long to hold the first chord with the birds and bubbling stream.
