Barbra Streisand teamed up with lyricist Paul Williams for this ballad from the 1976 version of "A Star Is Born," in which she also starred. It made her the first woman to win an Oscar for best original song. (It also won a Golden Globe in the same category, as well as a Grammy for best song of the year. It also topped the Billboard charts as a single and sold about a zillion copies. This treatment is essentially a trumpet/horn duet, with trombone, 2nd trumpet and tuba playing almost entirely supporting roles. Warning: It's distinctly elevator music, useful in a setting where the band is not necessarily the center of attention.
