Product Description

This easy level arrangement of Ding Dong! Merrily on High is written for solo Cello, ideal for beginner and early-intermediate players. The carol is based on a traditional French melody from the 16th century, first published in Orchesographie (1588) by Thoinot Arbeau, with later English lyrics by George Ratcliffe Woodward (1894). This instrumental version keeps the melody in a comfortable register, written entirely in first position, with simplified rhythms and clear phrasing that highlight the joyful and lively character of the carol. It is well suited for church services, school concerts and festive Christmas performances.
