All the guests of the king and queen have gathered for the evenings entertainment as the court jester makes his way to the center of the hall with some tumbling and acrobatics. Hes very agile and makes his body twist and turn to the delight of those assembled. He moves into the next part of his act: juggling. He begins with three balls and continues to add until there are nine in the air. All the while he is telling stories to make the audience laugh, often at the expense of the royal family, but no one is immune from his rapier wit.As the balls disappear one by one, he closes the act with more acrobatics and looks as though he is beginning to tire and appears to be falling asleep. There is a pause and the guests look at one another, wondering if it is over, when he suddenly leaps into the air and with a flourish takes his final bow.
