Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas was written in 1943 by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane and introduced by Judy Garland in the 1944 MGM musical Meet Me in St. Louis. Frank Sinatra (among many others) later recorded a version with modified lyrics. There were several lyrics that ended up being amended for Sinatra to use - which became the commonly known version - as there were moments of regret and resignation (eg. 'until then we'll have to muddle through somehow') that Ol' Blue Eyes didn't think would suit his celebratory album A Jolly Christmas at all. This arrangement is written for mixed male voices (Counter-tenors/Tenors/Baritones/Basses) and hopefully appropriately evokes the spirit and wistfulness of the original song Click on the Youtube link for a scrolling video with matching audio (sung by the arranger) and obscured score of this arrangement.
