Product Description

Great fun to play this traditional tune with a reasonably easy arrangement.
There are Alternative Parts for Horn in F and Eb, and , all in Treble and Bass Clefs, Bb Trombone/Euphonium and Eb and Bb Bass,
The Mexican Hat Dance, known as Jarabe Tapatio, originated as a courtship dance in the Nineteenth Century. The male dancer flirtatiously steps round the brim of his female partners hat! Although in the1920s, Jesus Gonzalez Rubio composed the standard version of the melody, there remain a number of other Mexican Hat Dance themes and variations. They are both traditional and integral to the very strong Mexican dance culture. None of these versions should be confused with La Raspa which is also a well known Mexican dance tune.
