Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622, was completed in October 1791 for the clarinettist Anton Stadler. The work was completed a few weeks before the composer's death. It was to be his last completed work, and has been described as his swan-song. Of all the clarinet concertos, the Mozart concerto is by far the most frequently performed. Parts of the concerto are heard in the score of some films like The King's Speech and Out of Africa. This arrangement of the marvelous second movement (Adagio) for alto sax with piano accompaniment reflects faithfully the original and is suitable for any occasion: classroom, repertoire, recital, wedding or for a touching encore.
