From Black Sabbath's 1971 album "Master of Reality", the ballad Solitude is a haunting example of the band's shared approach to songwriting. It was co-written by Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Ozzy Osbourne and Bill Ward, with lyrics primarly by Geezer Butler. This version is in the user-friendly key of A minor. Use it as either an easy intermediate piano solo or an easy intermediate piano-vocal-guitar arrangement in which the right hand reinforces the vocal melody. It includes guitar chord diagrams, with instructional fingerings for the piano/keyboard part. To play in Black Sabbath's key tune down one whole step, or get arranger Teresa Young's version in G minor here. Just search "Solitude Teresa Young" to see all available versions.
