William Bradbury's tune "he Leadeth Me" begins with Mozart's Fantasy, K. 397. It's calm and peaceful opening illustrates the first verse of the hymn by the same name. Then the setting changes to depict "scenes of deepest gloom." A triumphant shift back to D Major in the chorus brings the listener to the reality that "by his hand he leadeth me." This comtemplative arrangement is suitable for communion or reflection during worship.
