'Pinball Number Count' is a collective title referring to animated segments on the children's television series 'Sesame Street' teaching children to count to 12 by following a journey through a fanciful pinball machine. These segments are notable for a funky soundtrack with vocals by The Pointer Sisters, making their debut in 1977 and shown regularly until 2002. This arrangement for concert band features opportunities for the band to shout out the numbers, as well as providing soloing opportunities for alto sax, trumpet and clarinet (chords with suggested lines) - the vibraphone part can be played on a Rhodes Piano to give it more authenticity, if desired.
