The Gnossiennes are several piano compositions by Erik Satie in the late 19th century. Gnossienne No. 1 was published as one of 3 piano compositions known as the Trois Gnossiennes, and is considered the most well-known within the set. The Gnossiennes are generally in free time and experimental with form, rhythm and chordal structure. Its unique harmonic palette makes for a highly engaging duet, with the melody passing between the parts throughout the work.Click HERE or go to linktr.ee/ensemblellama to view more of my arrangements with Ensemble Llama Music, including more duets and small ensemble music!
