Boost your Major Scale playing, unlock the fretboard! The objective of this exercise is to connect the different fingerings of a major scale by placing them side by side. Furthermore, playing in quarter notes, eighth notes, or sixteenth notes, the root note will always fall on the first beat of the measure. So the goal is to play a diatonic scale up the fretboard without ever interrupting the flow of notes. The first three keys of the cycle of 5ths are written out; the idea is to help understand how the "patterns" move when transposing the exercise to another key. Once this is clear, the exercise should be practiced in all 12 keys. Enjoy!
