Dance of the Knights from Romeo and Juliet Op. 64, is from Act 1 of a ballet by Sergei Prokofiev based on William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. First composed in 1935, it was substantially revised for its Soviet premiere in early 1940. In the UK it is welll known as the iconic signature tune for the BBC TV series 'The Apprentice', broadcast since 2005. Faithful to the original this is scored for large orchestra 3*3*3*3* 4231 Tenor Sax. Hp. Pno.T. Perc .Strings - however Piccolo, Cor Anglais, Double Bassoon and Piano are optional, and cues for 3rd and 4th Horns are provided in the lst and 2nd Trombones. A great concert item lasting about 5-6 mins and aslo useful as part of a Shakespeare themed programme
