"Big Bang" Piano Solo by 3995 Hz"Big Bang" is an original solo piano composition inspired by the scientific sonification of the early universe. The work draws its conceptual and tonal material from physicist John G. Cramer's interpretation of the acoustic signature of the Big Bang, based on his 2013 paper "The Sound of the Big Bang".By conducting spectral analysis on the simulated audio presented in the paper, the composer derived a custom overtone series and harmonic framework, which serves as the structural basis of the piece. The music explores resonance, dissonance, and spatial texture in a minimalistic and abstract narrative, reflecting the formation of matter and energy in the earliest moments of the universe.
