This lively dance has been arranged for solo violin and piano. It is written in the original key of G Major, and features exciting quintuplets and easy double stops with open strings and left hand pizzicato in the violin. The piano is a true accompaniment and does not double the melody throughout. Theodore Akimenko was a Ukrainian composer, pianist, and musicologist in the late 1800s, with much of his music capturing the culture of his home country.
