This is a languid, moderately easy piece for 8-part clarinet choir. The music represents my feelings about the hot spells we've experienced in 2022. There's a Latin feel, emphasised by the Double Bass part, with the melodic material forming languid sighs and swoons from the heat. It's worth noting that the dissonances are intentional and, if you have a dissonance, you should "lean into it".What one needs is a trip to the pool, to lie in the sun and watch time pass. Parts are supplied for: 4 x Bb Clarinet, 2 Eb Alto clarinets, 2 Bass clarinets and Double bass.
