The accompaniment parts in this trio arranged for violin, viola and cello emulate Louis Armstrong's recording of La Vie En Rose most closely, with a deep bass line plunking along (in the cello here) punctuated by chords from other instruments to fill out the harmonies. The violin and viola trade off the melody (and sometimes duet in close harmony) and the cello carries the melody on the last chorus, with a very high part in treble clef - something to be aware of in this arrangement. Parts are bowed and markings added to clarify when a player has the melody. Measures are numbered and rehearsal letters provided for ease of sightreading and performing at gigs.
