Folk songs refer to traditional songs passed down among the general public, and have diverse contents and rhythms that reflect the culture, customs, and emotions of each region. This music was composed by quoting the folk song Gyeongbokgung Taryeong, which has the title of Gyeongbokgung Palace, the building where Gojong, the last king of Joseon (formerly Korea), was in office, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star composed by Mozart. In other words, two topics were used. In 1892, Korea (the name of the country at the time was Joseon) and Austria established diplomatic relations, and the music of Austrian composer Mozart was also used as material. 2022, when this music was composed, marks the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Austria. The traditional Korean rhythms Gutgeori and Jajinmori are cited. This music is a re-arrangement of the original composition for a piano quintet for violin and piano. The attached music file and U Tube are a quintet performance of the original music. It's just for a reference.
