The presto section of this lively baroque trio sonata will definitely bring to mind the other more famous Johann. In fact, Heinichen was not only a contemporary of Bach's, but they shared some of the same patrons.Baroque and recorder are almost synonymous. In this piece, there is a lovely interplay between the various recorder voices, and unlike some baroque pieces which don't always seem to have a definite melody, I find myself humming this melody after I hear it each time. I guarantee your listeners will enjoy their jaunt in the time machine to Europe 350 years ago. This arrangement is for soprano/alto/tenor/bass recorders.
