This is a nice "Twinkle, Twinkle..." arrangement as a waltz. It is a duet for the Orff instrument, alto xylophone, and tambourine. If you are a teacher using Orff instruments in your general music class this arrangement will work well for middle and high school students. It could be a culminating performance for a unit of study. It can be performed by two students on an instrument or one student per instrument in an ensemble setting. Your lessons could scaffold content on playing the song in 3/4 time, good tone and dynamics, syncopation, ties, and articulation. Some examples of academic language are dynamics, repeat signs, and ostinato. The parts are differentiated by level of musicianship and the arrangement is very adaptable.
