Product Description

William Butler Yeats (1865 - 1939) was an Irish poet and playwright who spent much of his life in England.

He is considered one of the greatest poets in the modern English-speaking world.

I have recently selected seven of my favorite poems from W.B.Yeats and composed this song collection (suite).

The style of the composition may seem too old-fashioned considering the era in which Yeats lived.

However, I aimed to ignore the musical era style and create music that more choral singers can enjoy singing.

There are many songs and choruses for Yeats' famous poems. However, I did not refer to them.

In particular, the sixth piece, "Down by the Salley Gardens," has a famous "traditional song" that is widely sung around the world, but this time I tried to set it to completely different music.

As the composer, it would be my greatest joy if this piece were widely sung by choral lovers all over the world.
