Written June 16, 2024, this is an original piano arrangement of the song by Billy Dean, Somewhere in My Broken Heart (originally released by Randy Travis and later as a single by Dean). Interestingly, the year before this song was released in 1990, Billy Dean called me and ask about my considering playing piano for him on tour in his band. He was one of the most kind and gracious people I have ever spoken to. At the time I wasnt as familiar with his music, but after speaking with him I found out he had the number one country video in the country and the next year he released this song which was the CMA Song of the Year. It is a great song Ive always loved and always wanted to play, so this week I did. BTW, the reason I didnt was because I was working in a church and wouldnt be free to travel. Looking back I wish I had. Hope you enjoy it.
