Back to Black is a single and title track of the second and final album of Amy Winehouse. The song was inspired by Winehouse's relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil, who had left her for an ex-girlfriend, and written by the singer and Mark Ronson. The sound was praised for its throwback to the style of 1960s girl groups. "Back to Black" has sold 340.000 copies in the UK and is Winehouse's third best-selling single in that country. Beyoncé and André 3000 covered the song for the soundtrack of the 2013 film adaptation of the novel The Great Gatsby. In 2024 a film musical biopic entitled Back to Black was released based on the life of Amy Winehouse, starting Marisa Abela.
