This suite utilises the ancient Lydian Mode (Present day Ionian) in its lower diatonic and upper chromatic tetrachords,containing the notes:D-E-F#-GandA-Bb-C#-Dtherefore it can be termed as in "Lydian Mixed Mode" but not as Mixolydian mode to which it bears no relation.
