Early on in the musical "Sweet Charity", the lead character is taken to an exclusive nightclub and this sets the scene for the company to introduce Bob Fosse's choreographic showpiece "The Rich Man's Frug" (the melody of which is drawn from the song "Big Spender"). It's a wildly energetic dance number comprising three "movements" ("The Aloof", "The Heavyweight" and "The Big Finish") accentuating Fosse's creative use of unusual poses, gestures, and arm movements. This arrangement draws from the original Broadway and movie scores, presenting as full a version as possible, including the chorus singing towards the end - don't scimp on the percussion, particularly the anvil, as this will certainly conjure up the true spirit of the piece - groovy!
