Chiquinha Gonzaga was a pioneer in Brazilian choro music and was Brazils first female conductor. This energetic piece from 1895 is her most recorded work, and has been arranged here as a trumpet solo with piano, for the intermediate to advanced player. At just over 1 1/2 minutes, it is perfect for use in recital as either an opener or as an encore.
