Transposed and edited for violin from the viola/piano original. Luise A. Le Beau was a prolific yet overlooked 19th-century female composer. This second movement of her "Three Pieces," English translation "Dreaming," features lyrical and expressive passages in both major and minor modes. The piano part is virtuosic, but the violin part is upper-intermediate to early-advanced. A good stand-alone recital or encore piece, or can be performed in combination with the first and third movements, "Nachtstück" (Night Piece) and "Polonaise."
