"White Christmas" was written in 1940 by US composer Irving Berlin (1888-1989). In 1942 the song was recorded for the film "Holiday Inn". Bing Crosby's version, published in 1947, has sold an estimated 50 million copies, making it the best-selling single worldwide.
The song was adapted for the Tin Whistle / Penny Whistle in D and provided with fingering images. These images are briefly explained in the appendix. The classic musical notation and/or the lyrics help to develop the song, so that even those unfamiliar with music notes can learn to play the song with this arrangement.
The sound of a Vibraphone was used in the setting, so the sound does not mix with the sound of your own instrument. The melody is backed by a metronome and quietly by an organ. We hope you enjoy making music...!

"White Christmas" wurde 1940 vom US-Komponisten Irving Berlin (1888-1989) geschrieben. 1942 wurde das Lied für den Film "Holiday Inn" aufgenommen. Die 1947 veröffentlichte Version von Bing Crosby verkaufte sich bisher geschätzte 50 Millionen mal, und ist somit die bisher meistverkaufte Single Weltweit.
Das Lied wurde für die Tin Whistle / Penny Whistle adaptiert in D und mit Griffbildern versehen. Diese Griffbilder werden im Anhang kurz erklärt. Die klassische Notenschrift und/oder der Liedtext helfen beim Erarbeiten des Liedes, sodaß auch Noten-Unkundige mit diesem Arrangement das Lied spielen lernen können.
In der Vertonung wurde der Sound eines Vibraphones verwendet, so vermischt sich der Klang nicht mit dem Klang des eigenen Instrumentes. Hinterlegt ist die Melodie mit einem Metronom sowie leise mit einer Orgel. Wir wünschen viel Spaß beim Musizieren...!
