Jerry Goldsmith's end title for "Poltergeist", in that setting, is haunting and creepy. In this setting for four octaves of handbells or handbells + handchimes, it becomes a beautiful lullaby with a soaring melody and rich harmonies. Playing the diamond-shaped notes on handchimes gives added texture and interest. Relatively simple rhythms make this arrangement easily accessible to a bell choir accustomed to playing Level 3 music and can even be mastered by a good Level 2 choir. Suitable for concerts and other secular performances.
