Final Dance (Jota)Manuel de Falla wrote the two-act ballet, The Three-Cornered Hat (El sombrero de tres picos), by revising his earlier stage work, El corregidor y la molinera. The composer also extracted two concert suites from the ballet. The second suite consists of three dances from the second half of the ballet.The Finale Dance, a jota, is the finale to the ballet, as well as the last movement of the second suite. It can be programmed independently or as the last movement of the second suite, following The Neighbours Dance and The Millers Dance (KM 018).This transcription is for concert band with full score (pp. 141), piccoloharp (pp. 43228), and transposed parts (pp. 229304).A printed score and the parts on CD-ROM are available for purchase at www.kasamamusic.com.
