This is from a collection of sacred arias found in Mühlhausen. The text was based on Luke 14:22-23. Section A exposits the hymn. The repeated section is played mezzo forte fisrt time, and then mezzo piano the second time. Right before Section B, a modulation to a new key occurs with the aid of a German augmented sixth chord. A descant by yours truly is then added.
