The younger sister of perhaps the most famous music teacher the world has ever known, Nadia Boulanger, Lilis skillfully crafted compositions in many ways have fallen through the cracks. Dun matin de printemps, written in 1918, was originally a work for solo violin (or solo ute) and piano. Additional versions include one for orchestra which appears to have been completed by Nadia and differs signicantly from the original. This arrangement is as true to the original work as possible and expands the harmonically complex piano accompaniment into a string orchestra accompaniment with parts for four violins, two violas, two cellos, and double bass. As with all Zephyrwindmusic publications, parts come with an Unlimited Copy License, thus removing any copyright issues in the way parts are used. Parts can be used in analog form printed on paper or uploaded as a digital part onto a reading device such as an iPad for performance. Parts can also be legally uploaded onto a website for players to download.
