An arrangement of Oh Holy Night with Carol of the Bells embedded as the middle voice. The Carol of the Bells embedded as the middle voice throughout the O Holy Night portion should be a consistently joyous ringing that provides the background and foundation of the majestic O Holy Night melody. The chromatic scales took inspiration from Liszt, wherein he frequently embeds arpeggios or scales of some sort within a surrounding outer melody. The violent nature of the left hand arpeggios with the chromatic scales reminds me of Sturm und Drang, reminiscent of Liszt and also Beethoven, my two favorite composers other than Gershwin. You can sense a little bit of Gershwin even in the dense chords before the free cadenza that leads to the clear and ringing open F Major chord that restarts the carol of the bells at the a tempo (after the cadenza).
