Fauré composed his Pavane "for a dead princess" Op 50 in 1887. It is arranged here in its original key of F sharp minor for Clarinet in A and piano. For the first time the solo can be played also in the original key on Bb Clarinet. The part is included in this set. Although it is very frequently played there are very few options available in this key signature. The piece is also an excellent recital choice and offers enjoyable playing challenges.
