This arrangement blends Martin Luthers baptismal hymn with the more familiar dedicational song "Take My Life and Let It Be." The staunch tones that begin and conclude the piece transport one to the Jordan River and invite one to think on the meaning of baptism. The middle of the piece provides a pensive meditation upon Christian service. This conductors score contains lead, first, and second trumpet parts, a violin part, a xylophone part (or other tuned mallet instrument), and a piano accompaniment. The trumpet parts could be adapted to other brass instruments.
