The "Scales on Fire" series offers a fun, rhythmic approach to learning the major and relative minor scales. Here are the G and E minor scales with one sharp. Play with an intensity ("con bio", meaning "on fire"), and with a bounce. Make sure the left hand doesn't overpower the right hand. Starting with measure 9, the chord numbers are labeled. Notice the major-VI chord in measure 12, which requires an accidental which is the raised "1" of the scale. Listen to how it sounds. And most of all, have fun!
