Countdown is a composition for early to medium level wind and percussion ensemble. This composition is a tribute to early space exploration of the 1960s-1970s. Each section of space travel is represented in a special musical section: Countdown, First Stage, Second Stage, Orbit, Reprise of First Stage as Re-entry and last Splashdown. The composition uses the keys of Bb Major, Eb Major, and g minor.
