A 6-mallet marimba solo commissioned by Dr. Sarah Waters at Ohio Northern University in 2020. It locks in intervals of a triad in each hand, and uses rhythmic and melodic activity to make the marimba come to life. It is easier than it looks, as the interval changes are easy to overcome and the rhythmic content is really what makes the piece shine. Though it is not atonal whatsoever, as the lush chords work together, or create a sound of gentle bitonality to make the rhythmic content grow and release tension. It has a feeling of constant motion like a gentle breeze, but grows and releases like wind chimes, blowing leaves, and tall grass flowing in the wind.
