Costumes: Dances from Poland [B37] was written in July 1990 and is part of a series of orchestral folk dance suites based on the music of the former "Iron Curtain" countries. The title Costumes originated from the composer having been given a collection a Polish folk dances in which were illustrated costumes from each particular region from which the dances came.
