Schubert's trio no. 2 in E-flat major was one of the last compositions he completed, and was among the few of his late compositions he heard performed before his death in 1828. The main theme of the Andante has been used in numerous films including Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon (for which it was the central theme), The Hunger, Crimson Tide, The Piano Teacher, L'Homme de sa vie, and Land of the Blind. This version of the Andante has been arranged for five cellos. Cellos 1 and 2 are close to identical to the original cello and violin parts, while cellos 3, 4 and 5 are an arrangement of the piano part.
