The soprano saxophone descants in this collection are based on 10 different hymn tunes. Two different
descants are included for "Joy to the World" (tune: Antioch).
Different
seasons of the Christian church year are represented, including: Christmas,
Lent, Easter, and Trinity Sunday.
Only the notated descants are included here, listed with hymn tune names, without notated hymn scores.
The audio clip includes the first five descants in the collection, with hymn accompaniment on the piano.
These descants are also available for flute, oboe and tenor saxophone. Please check SMP listings for those scores.
