A major work in three movements, this is a musical portrayal of the court of King Henry VIII, ruler of England 1509-1547. Movement one, "Pagaentry" celebrates chivalry, formality and the high living of the time. Movement 2, "The Knights Ball" is a pleasing siciliana, whilst the final section, "Battle", describes one of the many skirmishes between England and France or Engalnd and Scotland which took place at the time. Suitable for UK 3rd-4th Section bands as a contest piece.
