Composed for keyboard by the Italian composer Domenico Scarlatti who worked at the court of the Portuguese King João V between 1719 and 1727. Although attempting to preserve as much as possible its original keyboard score, a more suitable key tone was chosen for both modern carillons and carillons with Meantone temperament: A minor instead of F minor. Arrangement for solo carillon, originally written for the Grand Carillon of the National Palace of Mafra (Portugal) with the range of 52 bells. Although it has alternative notation, making it possible to play it on any carillon of at least 4 octaves, the extension of this arrangement is as follows: G2,A2,Bb2,B...chromatic...C7, with alternative notation for unavailable pedal keys below D3 and above G4.
